2nd National Bank
This was a National Bank just like the first one but this one was made to help other parts of the government. but this was the second one so the government went through everything in other for this bank to get passed with a law for the Second Bank of the Untied States. One of those parts was to help the National Treasury out of a bad and messed up type of situation. It was also created to watch and regulate the currency. -
Creation of the Whig Party
creates a new party made up of a lot of northers and republicans that all supported the bank is going to join this party and people from Jacksons' party that are for the bank. -
Election of 1832
This was the Election that Jackson won as president of the United States of America for the Democratic party and opponent was Henry Clay. One of the main problems during this election was Jackson wanted to get completely rid of the bank for the United States because it did not seem to work for him. So he even vetoed the bill the was allowing the bank to reauthorize the bank before the renomination. The advisories that Jackson had did not have or hold the normal and regular cabinet appointments. -
The Bank War
The Bank war was because the people thought of the bank as unconstitutional and harmful to the American people. Jackson vetoed the bill that reapproved the bank. This was the fire under this election that ends up leading to the death of the Bank. One of the effects was that lead to the dilemma was the fact that the national debt has been paid and now they are going to the effect of having to use surplus because they are bringing in more money than they can use in the government. -
Veto of the Bank Bill
The people that are opponent of President Jackson is Daniel Websters and Henry Clay. they wanted to pass a bill that chartering the second national bank. Webster and Clay wanted Jackson to sign the bill that stated he needed to take an anti-bank or to go with a bank that would go with him. -
Jackson's Pet Bank
Jackson did not settle with the fact that he crushed the bank. He kept on hating on it. So what Jackson did was that he told seven states that they needed to spread the federal funds and deposits across the states. The money needed to be used for the expenses of the government from what he said which made alot of people mad. He did this because he did not want to put any money into the bank. Everything except for what Jackson spend and used for the Pet bank the rest was put into the State Banks. -
Specie Circular
This was an executive order that was made by Andrew Jackson as new president. This Executive order was making any and all payment for land must be paid in gold or silver. in order to have gold or silver like they want you have to be an upper-class type of person in order to have these kinds of things. it was made to prevent the working class in America from buying any federal land to the west due to the lack of not have gold or silver. -
Panic of 1837 or Crash of 1837
this was the financial crisis in the United States that started off as one of the most major depressions of all time. this lasted until the mid-1840s. The prices, profits, and wages for the labor went down. the things that went up were Unemployment. Almost half of the bank went broke and failed, but it was not just them it was Businesses closed, the prices for everything declined and lastly, the unemployment rates for this time period was unbelieveable. This was all because of Jacksons' plan. -
The Election of 1840
The economy recovered was not finished by the time of the 1840 election. A lot of people said that this was considered as one of the first real campaigns. also during the election, this was when there were four people who were or are going to be elected in another election. The four people were Van Buren, Harrison, Tyler, and Polk. Harrison only won by 5% popular vote He was also nominated in the Whig National Convention of 1839.
