PAC Construction Begins
Due to a Bond Election, funding was provided to begin construction on the SMCC Performing Arts Center (PAC). -
National Total Enrollment in Community Colleges: 5.3 MILLION!

PAC Dedicated
Maya Angelou performs dedication ceremony of the SMCC PAC in September 2003. -
Funding Provided for Expansion
A 2004 MCC District Bond allowed for more funding for the following: satellite sites in Laveen and Ahwatukee, remodel of Guadalupe location, and campus building for use by NAU. -
Latest accreditation
SMCC's latest accreditation occurred in 2009. -
New Library Built
In association with the City of Tempe, SMCC built a state-of-the-art library that opened in Septermber 2011.
