    Ages between 21-36 were to register. Men between the ages 18- 65 were requiered to register. The age 45 were considered to be drafted.

    Britain was falling hard so the U.S. passed a law that whoever needed help that was their allies could get the supplies from the U.S. The U.S stayed nuetral. Its provided the allies with tanks, goods, and artillery.
  • Bombing of Pearl Harbor

    Bombing of Pearl Harbor
    The United States cut off all trade with Japan. Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. United States went to war with Japan on December 8, 1941
  • Japanese Americans.

    Japanese Americans.
    120,000 japense people were uprooted from their homes and forced into internment camps. The U.S called these people "enemy aliens." One-third of the 120,000 were born in the U.S.
  • Rationing

    122,604,000 had signed up for rations. 91% of the population also did the same. They rationed out coffee, sugar, butter, milk, and eggs.

    Admiral Donitz Had called for an "operation Drumbeat" He only recieved 5 U-boats to attack the U.S. ships. He was on Germanays side.

    It was created when Hitler came to power. Started to become famous in Hollywood. Made films and posters for this reason.

    This was named for the first atomic bomb. A bunch of great scientists had become smarter, so they helped creat the atomic bmb. They dropped the atomic bomb on Nagasaki.
  • Women in WW2

    Women didn't have to work in their homes anymore. They could go out and help their hubands. The women tried and tried to get to where they had the same rights that men do, and they got there.
  • G.I Bill

    G.I Bill
    This bill was passed so that the veterns could be educated. This gave the veterns freedom to learn without paying. Washington had some marchers that were thinking that was unfair.
