    The french were defeated in the french and indian war but after the war the british were taxing the colonies unfairly because of it

    The colonies no longer benefited economically from British rule, and thus the colonists' rights were infringed upon.

    A protest on the britishes tax on tea. People dressed as native americans and threw tea into the boston harbor

    The intolerable acts were made to control rebellious colonies but instead fueled the rebellion

    This sparked the American Revolutionary War and led to the creation of the United States
