    They build palaces in Knossos.

    Peru

    Pachacuti Inca Yupanqui becomes the leader of the Inca. He begins to conquer nearby tribes and expand the control of the Inca Empire. He reorganizes the government into the Tawantinsuyu and builds the city of Machu Picchu.

    Mycenaean civilization

    Crete is controlled by the Mycenaeans.

    Mexico

    The Mexica, an Aztec group, founded Tenochtitlan in 1325. Built on an island on Lake Texcoco, it had a system of canals and causeways that supplied the hundreds of thousands of people who lived there.

    Troy is attacked by Mycenaeans, the Trojan War starts.

    Peru

    The Inca tribe, led by Manco Capac, founded the city of Cuzco in the Cuzco Valley region.

    Mayans: Was created The League of Mayapan. The members were: Itza, Tutul-Xiu, Mayapan and Uxmal.
    The League of Mayapan was formed to rule the region.

    The first Olympic Games are staged.

    Rome becomes a Republic

    The last king is expelled and Rome is now ruled by senators. There is a constitution with laws and Rome becomes a complex republican government.
  • 400 BCE

    Muiscas

    Muisca Raft built in gold. It represents a ceremony Cacique's successor, made a great offering to the gods. He covered his body with gold dust and was accompanied by his entourage.
  • 395 BCE

    Rome splits

    In 395 AD, Rome split into two empires - the Western Roman Empire and the Eastern Roman Empire. Each side had a ruler in charge of it. The Roman Empire was split by Theodosius.
  • 380 BCE

    Christianity

    Theodosius I proclaims Christianity as the sole religion of the Roman Empire in 380 AD.
  • 300 BCE

    San Agustin

    There was a huge population growth during that time. This culture also began to build statues and other funerary objects that are still recognized and appreciated today.
  • 80 BCE

    Colosseum is built

    The Colosseum was built in 80 AD. The completion of the Colosseum was celebrated with 100 days of games.
  • 45 BCE

    Julius Caesar

    Julius Caesar defeats Pompey in a civil war. He becomes the supreme ruler of Rome. This is the end of the Roman Republic.
