HOW DID IT AFFECT MIGRANTS?
During The Gold Rush, many non-European migrants came to Australia to mine for gold. The biggest group of non-European was the Chinese people.

HOW IT AFFECTED WOMEN:
During World War 1, nearly 3,000 women enlisted and went to war as nurses to help the injured soldiers. Women also had to do things at home too. This includes caring for their children and doing things around the house that the men would often have to do.

HOW IT AFFECTED WOMEN:
During World War 2, women had to take up jobs when the men went to war. These jobs could often be in factories and many other jobs as well. Lots of men didn't like women taking their jobs but it was the only way to keep everything going whilst the men fought in the war.

HOW DID IT AFFECT ABORIGINAL PEOPLE:
Prime Minister Kevin Rudd gave a formal apology to the stolen generation and all Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander people. Most people were happy when he said sorry.

HOW DID IT AFFECT MIGRANTS:
COVID-19 affected migrants because all the country's borders due to COVID were closed and migrants couldn't come to other countries.
