The Battle of Concord & Lexington: In 1775, a British general sent some redcoats to Concord because of a tip he received that the colonists were storing weapons. The colonists had found out about this so they gathered some minutemen in Lexington (this was on the way to Concord) the minutemen had blocked the road. they ran into some redcoats and it got a bit heated no one knows who shot first but someone did- this ended up with 18 colonist casualties (8 dead or some were injured)
