    Joseph smith is the founder of the Mormon religion. He was the judge ,general,he ran everything to do with the Mormon religion he was kicked out of Missouri and moved to Illinois and founded Nauvoo. He turned himself in to the government he was told he would only be charged with damage to property but the tricked him they charged him with treason. he was later killed in a house by a mob and his brother was also killed. my picture is a painting of Joseph smith.

    Trail of tears
    The trail of tears is were the natives are pushed off their land and moved across the country to a land they can have for replacement. So that the whites can have their land for cotton and to live on.They moved in separate groups the first groups were organized and very good but as time let on they became worse and worse as the natives were forced of their land. This picture is of natives moving through the winter with no wagons and only blankets to keep them from freezing.

    Brigham young took over the head role for the Mormons when Joseph smith dead. Brigham young lead the Mormons to salt lake city Utah before the us owned it. Brigham young moved them there so they could live in peace and no one would bother the Mormons and they would be able to practice their religion in peace.Brigham young lead one of the best moves to the west ever said scientist .These picture is of Brigham young the second Mormon leader.

    Manifest destiny was article that help fuel people to move west. John O Sullivan wrote this so people could see what america was destined for us to go coast to coast so that is what fueled the western expansion movement. to move to Texas when they took the land from the Indians. John O Sullivan talked about how america was destined for greatness. The picture i found shows the whites driven the Indians and the wild animals father west because the whites are moving into their land.

    The gold rush started when a man was in a northeastern river and found gold. Then other people heard that and headed out west and left their homes and grabbed everything they could in hopes do strike gold. The gold rush was not very successful because there was not as much gold as assumed from other people such as miner or gold paners .They picture shows a camp being set up so they can pan for gold.
