Hitler
At this time Hitler started to defy the Treaty of Versailles that had ended WWI. Started to build an air force and military in direct violation of the treaty. He promises Germany to get people back to work and ending the Great depression. This made him powerful. -
Maginot Line
It was along the German border so they would hide behide there and wait for other countries to come like Germans so the French could attack. Then they would go West for British and French. May 10th, Hitler declared another blitzkrieg to get around the line. -
Anschluss
Hitler sent troops into Austria in March to announce the unification of Austria and Germany. He picked them because thats where the German speaking were. -
Munich Conference
Britian and France agreed to Hilter's demands. A ploicy known as a appeasement made it so that they could make concessions in exchange for peace. -
Danzig
Hitler demaned the providence of Danzig to be returned to German control. Hilters new demands concinced Britain and France that they had to go to war. This is all in Poland. -
Czechoslovakia
Hilter demaned for the Sudetenland. Conference in Munich gave Hitler the right to the land but soon after Hilter invaded all of Czecholovakia. -
Blitzkrieg
Used large number of madd tanks. Also can be known as the lighting war. The bombs were used against the Europe. The Germans were the ones using Blitzkrieg. They used many of other things to help the fast moving attacks. -
Nazi-Soviet Pact
German officials asked for a nonaggression treaty with the Soviets. Treaty shocked the world because communism and Nazism were suppose to be opposite of each other. -
Poland, Britian, France
Germany invaved Poland first. Making Britain and France declare war on Germany. This was the start of WWII. -
Phony War
Germans called it as to be the "sitting war". British called it the Bore War as of we called it the Phony war. British sent people over to France to wait for the Germans to attack. -
Poland Fell
Poland couldn't repel the fight agaisnt Germany. The Germans won. By October 5, 1939 Germans defeated the Polish military. -
Evacuation of Dunkirk
The British were the operation of the whole things. They did it so that they could rescue 45,000 troops. But when ending on June 4th about 338,000 were all saved. Hitler called for the whole thing and no one knows as of why. -
French Surrender
They did in the same railway car as Germans did. It happened at the end of WWI. -
Battle of Britain
It was an all-out air battle to destory Royal Air Force. Agaisnt Germany from the British. Started in June, went all the way through fall of 1940. Hitler wanted the air battle.
