Today we use it pretty much daily, without this we would not have most of the technology we have today.

    Rodney King had been drunk driving and was being chased by multiple police cars, and a helicopter. After they finally cornered him and forced him to stop, they instructed him to get out of his car face down. He resisted and the cops tazered him, and later beat him with their batons, hitting him over 33 times and kicking him multiple times too. This changed how people view race and caused a lot of rioting, because the officers were found innocent.

    Representatives of the 11 soviet republics said they were all leaving the soviet union and becoming independent states. The president of the USSR resigned peacefully one day before this. After all the terrible things that the Soviet Union did, it went down peacefully. This had affected the entire world, because the Soviet Union was a large world "superpower" and it just dissolved so easily.

    A rental truck was parked unter one of the twin towers by terrorists. The truck was filled with homemade explosives. The explosion caused 6 deaths and over 1,000 injuries. It did not critically hurt the structure of the building, but it caused more than $500 million in damages. All of the terrorists involved were caught by the FBI and charged with life in prison. At the time, this was the biggest terrorist attack there had ever been, affecting the entire world.

    Rwanda's population consisted of three major ethnic groups, Hutu, Tutsi and Twa. The Hutu (85% of the population) blamed the Tutsi for the country's growing social, economic, and political problems. The Hutu began to start the mass genocide of the Tutsi people, trying to kill as many of them as they could. It ended with over 800,000 people dead.

    OJ Simpson was tried for the killing of his ex wife (Nicole Brown Simpson) and a waiter (Ronald Lyle Goldman). The court came to a verdict of not guilty. Many people believe this was a mistake, because there was a lot of proof that he killed them. This one trial was heard or watched by over 90 million americans. It was the most publicized court case in America's history.

    Over 300 People died in a fire in the subway in Azerbaijan. The fire was started from a spark from an old high voltage wire. People died of poisonous fumes mostly, but some burned to death. The incident in the subway cased everyone to panic. This made everyone a little more skeptic and more cautious about subways and transportation as a whole.

It was found out by a few people who worked in the white house, but they did not do much if anything to stop it. Bill later denied the affair, but there was evidence against him. People attempted to impeach him, but this did not work and he remained in office.

    The prime minister of Israel was shot during a peace rally he was attending. The man who killed him was a 27 year old law student and was part of a Jewish group called Eyal. He claimed that Rabin wanted to "give our country to the Arabs." and admitted to the assassination. This is probably because he found a peaceful solution to the Israel Palestine problem.

American companies had spend much over $100 billion trying to prevent this crisis from happening. But in the end, not one computer had a single malfunction.
