Burton premiered his short film "Frankenweenie", filmed in black and white with an approximate duration of 30 minutes. The content of the short film caused Disney to dismiss Burton just after his production was completed, because it was said that "Frankenweenie" was "too terrifying for their younger audience". He finally agreed to direct the sequel of the franchise with the condition that he had full creative control in the featured film called "Batman Returns". Corpse Bride
Is based on a story of the Ortodox Russian-Jewish tradition, the film was adapted with humorous touches to make it a little more familiar and enjoyable for children audiences. Is a book composed of 23 stories, written in verse and illustrated by Tim Burton. The protagonists of the stories are lonely, strange and different children. In this literary work Burton is faithful to his particular universe, where melancholy prevails, love, black humor and fantasy. -
