The problem of Native Americans in America was becoming a large problem during this time period, Andrew Jackson decided to resolve this problem by forcing the Natives to move. While some went peacefully, many others didn't this caused millions of dollars and lives, until eventually the Indiads were forced to walk over 800 miles in the winter while many were sick or injured. This caused over half of the Natives to die during this march. -

This case was about Samuel Worcester tefusing to move to Indian territrory and applying for a permit that would allow him to live there. The Army then arrested him and took him off the land, after being arrested, Worcester pressed charges and won in the supreme court.
