Levi then turns to his friends and says, "Let's go, The fireworks are about to start!" In Erickson's third stage, children begin to either take initiative or guilt. Taking Initiative in making up the rules to a game or deciding to play a different game.
  • Teenage Levi: Identity vs Confusion

Levi noticed all of his friends have either a tattoo or piercing. He begins to wonder if he should be having one too, since everyone else has either a piercing or tattoo. Erikson's fifth stage, Identity vs Confusion, explains the importance of developing a sense of self and personal identity. Failure of this will leave Levi confused and a weak sense of self.
