Greg was born in Minnesota. If he wasn't born the book would not have happened. -
Christa is diagnosed with Elipesy
Christa is diagnosed with Elipesy at the age of four. This eventually leads to Greg attempting to climb K2 in her honor. He then gets lost and ends up in Korphe. -
Greg starts to climb K2
Greg begins his climb up K2 and eventually gets lost and ends up in Korphe. -
Greg gets lost
Greg gets lost while climbing K2. He gets separated from his sherpa and goes to Korphe. -
Fundraising
Greg goes back to America to begin trying to raise the funds for Korphe's school. -
A Grant
Jean Hoerni hears of Greg's work and sends him the money to build Korphe's school. -
Supplies
Greg goes to Pakistan to buy supplies to build Korphe's school with the money Jean Hoerni gave him. -
A Bridge
Greg cand the villagers work over the summer to build Braldu bridge over the river. -
