    In 1943, Kuhn graduated from Harvard University summa cum laude. Kuhn then went on to earn his masters degree in 1946 and shortly after, his doctorate in 1949. Kuhn had been elected into the Society of Fellows at Harvard University.

    Kuhn taught undergraduates at Harvard.

    Shortly after earning his doctorate, Kuhn began teaching humanities as an undergraduate course. As Kuhn was teaching this course, he began to study more historical case studies. Kuhn became quite fascinated with Aristotle. After teaching a course in humanities, Kuhn's interests on the history of science was at an all time high and Kuhn began to focus more on this rather than physics.
  • Kuhn publishes first book

    In 1957, Thomas Kuhn publishes his first book titled "The Copernican Revolution" after his frequent studies of the history of astronomy.
  • Kuhn becomes professor at University of California at Berkeley

    At USC Berkeley, Kuhn became full professor in History of Science. During this time he befriended colleagues Stanley Cavell who introduced Kuhn to Paul Feyerabend who worked on "The Structure of Scientific Revolutions" with Kuhn.

    The Structure of Scientific Revolutions was published
    "The Structure of Scientific Revolutions" was published in the series "International Encyclopedia of Unified Science". Kuhn's publishing introduced the idea of the paradigm shift which was at first both influential and controversial. The idea behind this philosophy is that the model is shifting throughout history.
