When John decided that he was done with his scientific studies he started theological studies. After he was ordained in 1982 John was signed to a parish. In 1989 he was appointed president of Queens College until his retirement in 1996. -
Publishes "The Way the World Is"

Founded the Society of Ordained Scientists
John then helped found the society of ordained scientists. This group helped to bring scientists and ordained ministers together by proving that you can believe in God and Science. -
Knighting
In 1997 Queen Elizabeth II knighted John for his service to science, religion, learning, and medical ethics. -
