Thomas Kuhn was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1922. His was Samuel L. Kuhn, and his mother was Minette Stroock Kuhn. -
Kuhn and World War II
During the summer of 1943, Kuhn joined a Radio Research Laboratory group where he and his team were tasked with developing countermeasures against enemy radar. He would later travel with a Royal Air Force officer to a captured German radar installation to study their technology. -

The Copernican Revolution
Kuhn taught an undergraduate course that allowed him to concentrate on the history of science. During this teaching period, he focused on 18th-century matter theory and the early history of thermodynamics, where he turned his attention to the history of astronomy. In 1957, he published his book, the Copernican Revolution. -
The Structure of Scientific Revolutions
In 1962, Kuhn would publish one of his most groundbreaking writings, The Structure of Scientific Revolutions. This contribution towards the Philosophy of Science is credited with advancing the understanding of Philosophy, Sociology, Economics, and Political Science. His book expands further on Paradigm shifts and the concept of incommensurability and how the four process of a scientific revolutions contribute to the paradigm shift. -
