    On July 18, 1922, Minette and Samuel Kuhn welcomed a baby boy to the world. They named their son Thomas Kuhn and he was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. Thomas Kuhn would be the oldest brother to his other sibling which was Roger Kuhn who was born three years.

    Educational Period

    Kuhn had attended a variety of different schools throughout his life. In the earlier years of Kuhn's educational past, Thomas first attended Lincoln School in Manhattan and would then go on to Hessian Hills. Later on he would once again transition to yet another school. It was during his time at The Taft School, where his passion for mathematics would come to play. After graduating from Taft in 1940, Kuhn would go on to attend Harvard University and obtained his bachelors degree in physics.

    The Copernican Revolution
    Kuhn published The Copernican Revolution in 1957. His work discussed his analysis of Copernicus's theories in regards to astronomy and how the earth orbits the sun. Thomas would also offer a course to his students that would talk about the work during the Copernican Revolution.     It was during this time when Thomas Kuhn published his most influential and controversial book, The Structure of Scientific Revolutions. This book brought to the world Kuhn's theories about scientific paradigms and how they are used to solve scientific experiments.     The paradigm shift came into play when Kuhn published his book The Structure of Scientific Revolutions. Thomas broke down the paradigm shifts into different phases.     In this period of time, Thomas Kuhn has provided essential tools to the science field. A word that would become about was that of "incommensurability". Kuhn brought to light this word during the time he established his work on the scientific revolution. The way he would use this would be to describe how two paradigms had two different perspectives on the same subject.

    The passing of Thomas Kuhn
    During 1994, Thomas was diagnosed with cancer. After a few years passed, it was on June 17, 1996 that Thomas Kuhn would unfortunately pass away due to a battle with lung cancer.
