In 1962, Thomas Kuhn's paradigm shift theory impacted the way in which scientist conducted research. Thomas Kuhn believed that, "science is influenced by such factors as social class, politics, gender and racial bias, and other forces outside of the specific scientific context. " (par 3). On this basis Thomas Kuhn proposed the four phases of the Paradigm Shift. This youtube video will help explain this theory.
