Thomas Kuhn was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. -
Graduation
Kuhn graduated from Harvard with a PhD in physics. It was during these formative years that Kuhn's interests shifted from physics to the history and philosophy of science, as he admits in the opening of 'The Structure of Scientific Revolutions'. -
Book
The publishing of Kuhn's most famous work, 'The Structure of Scientific Revolutions', and the introduction of his most famous idea, Paradigm shifts, was Kuhn's beginning of fame.

Cancer
Kuhn was diagnosed with lung cancer at the age of 71, after having lived a long life of great discovery and achievement. He had by this point won numerous awards and much fame, worked for many of the most prestigious universities in North America, including MIT and Princeton, and generally having a great influence upon the scientific community. -
Death of a Great
Kuhn passed away after 2 years of fighting lung cancer at the age of 76, the passing of a giant.
