After time served in the military, Kuhn would start to develop a book "The Structure of Scientific Revolutions" which brought about a new way of thinking as far as scientific knowledge goes. Paradigms were introduced and why it held significant for modern science to come.

Thomas Kuhn would begin a time period of criticism toward current scientifical beliefs. The Karl Popper conflict comes to mind, is where paradigm shifts would come most into play. -

Kuhn would patent his term paradigm. It would around this time become more accepted into society, as in the past it received much backlash. It would even reach into other science. Other realms like history, psychology, etc.
