The Copernican Revolution was the first book written and published by Thomas Kuhn. The Copernican Revolution was the paradigm shift from the Ptolemaic model of the heavens, which described the cosmos as having Earth stationery at the center of the universe, to the heliocentric model with the Sun at the center of the Solar System. -

Thomas Kuhn’s academic life started in physics. He then switched to the history of science. As his career developed, he moved over to the philosophy of science, although retaining a strong interest in the history of physics. After his time in the assistant professorship position, Kuhn became a full professor at Berkeley. -

In 1962, Khun released The Structure of Scientific Revolutions, one of the most-cited academic books. It was also his most controversial. Kuhn characterized a paradigm shift as a revolution that challenges and ultimately takes the place of a prevailing scientific framework. -
Kuhns Death
Kuhn died in Cambridge, Massachusetts; He had been ill for the last two years with cancer of the bronchial tubes and throat. He was 73 but left behind the such influence for others to continue to build on.
