In 1961 Kuhn became a professor at the University of California at Berkeley. It is here that Kuhn's interest in the philosophy of science began. Thanks to the help of his colleague, Stanley Cavell, who introduced Kuhn to Paul Feyerabend's work. Kuhn began his draft of The Structure of Scientific Revolutions during discussions with Feyerabend. The Structure of Scientific Revolutions
In 1962, The Structure of Scientific Revolutions was published and sparked a drastic change in how we view the study of science and it's progression. In his book, Kuhn suggests that science exists inside of certain paradigms and once too many anomalies arise within that paradigm, it begins to shift to a new paradigm. The Great Debate
In 1965 Thomas Kuhn participated in an International Colloquium in the Philosophy of Science in London. He was suppose to debate Paul Feyerabend at this Colloquium. However, Feyerabend fell ill and was unable to attend. The discussion still happened and records of the Colloquium were published in Criticism and the Growth of Knowledge in 1970.
