On April 14, 1743 a baby with a purpose was born. This baby was known as Thomas Jefferson. This influential baby would be a man who sparked many during America's toughest times. -

When Thomas Jefferson was 25, he was elected to be a part of the Virginia House of Burgesses. The Virginia house of Burgesses was the first attempt to spread democracy in the colonies. -

Thomas Jefferson founded this University in hopes that his home state would get a good chance of successions. Thomas Jefferson died on the auspicious day that America got its independence. He suffered from pneumonia and diarrhea. -

That would have caused tensions in the southern states automatically. They sould have gone on with slaves. If they had listened to Thomas Jefferson, then maybe the war wouldn't have been so brutal. (slavery was only one of the 5 causes of the war, so the war still would have happened.)
