    Clay receives the cassette tapes in a package
  • Cassette Tape 1:A

    Clay hears Hannah voice for the first time after she died. She tells the people listening why the tapes are in their possession. Hannah tells her story about her first interaction with Justin Foley and how he ruined her life.
  • Cassette Tape 2:B

    Clay goes to Monet where the new kid squad use to meet and he listened to the next tape. Hannah told the story of Tyler being a peeping tom and ruining her life more than ever.
  • Cassette Tape 3:A

    Hannah communicates about Courtney and her great acting skills. Hannah tells the people listening that Courtney only used people to win a popularity contest.
  • Cassette Tape 3:B

    Hannah explains about a fundraiser cheerleaders do for cheer camp. In this story, Marcus tries to touch Hannah in ways that make her feel uncomfortable. This is when Hannah really starts to question if her life is really worth living.
  • Cassette Tape 4:A

    Hannah tells people about a thing a teacher does for the students. The thing is each student has a bag and people put notes in them that have compliments in them. Zach gets revenge on Hannah for rejecting him by stealing the notes from her bag. This makes Hannah fell devastated because she could have used those words of encouragement

    Hannah talks about an experience she had in this class that was suppose to make her feel happy about her life turning into a class about ladies talking about their terrible husbands. She connects with a kid named Ryan and they share their work and Ryan betrays her trust. Ryan puts her poem in an article and people just bash it and make jokes out of it,
  • Cassette Tape 5:A

    This tape is about Clay, the main character. This tape is different from the others because Clay does not get blamed for ruining her life, Hannah just wanted to tell him her story because she felt like he deserved to know.
  • Cassette Tape 5:B

    This tape goes to a more serious note. Hannah continues to stay a room but she heard people coming but she was to drunk to function properly so she hid in a closet. While she was in the closet, she heard a boy take advantage of an unconscious girl.
  • Cassette Tape 6:A

    Hannah explains how since she was drunk she need it a ride home and got one with this girl named Jenny. Jenny hit a stop sign and they did not report to anyone but Jenny forced Hannah to get out of her car because she was going to tell someone. Since the stop sign was not there and accident occurred and a senior died because of it.
  • Cassette Tape 6:B

    In this tape this is where Hannah finally lets go of any hope to live. She hooks up with this kid named Bryce who treats women like objects. She did this because she wanted to destroy her life as much as possible to make it easier to slip away.
  • Cassette Tape 7:A

    In the last tape she decided she might try to get help before she makes a decision that could destroy people. She goes to her guidance counselor, Mr. Porter. he tells Hannah that she needs to move on from what happened and that just puts her in the direction to let go of life.
  • Cassette Tape 1:B

    Hannah begins the tape with Alex and his dumb list rating her butt the best in the freshman class. She also tell the story on how that list affected her in a terrible way
  • Cassette Tape 2:A

    Hannah introduces how when she came to town she was not the only new kid there. There were two new kids named Jessica and Alex. In this tape she explains how Jessica turned against her because she listened to the rumors about Hannah.
