The call from Death Cast
Mateo (12:22 am) and Rufus (1:05 am) receives a call from Death Cast, an organization that knows the day people will die. Mateo receives this call while in his room, and the caller is uncaring about his situation. Rufus receives the call in the middle of beating up his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend, Peck. -
Rufus and Mateo meets - 3:14 am
Rufus and Mateo start a conversation at the Last Friend app(3:14 am). This is an app designed for Deckers to meet other people on their End Day. A decker is a person who is living their End Day. They find out that they like each other and decide to meet up and spend their end day together. -
Matheo visits his dad to say goodbye - 4:46 am
Mateo and Rufus visits Matheo's father at the hospital. His father has been in a coma for the last part of his life. This would be the last time, they would see each other, the last goodbye. -
Small gathering/funeral for Rufus 2:00 am
At 2:00 am Rufus holds a small gathering/funeral for himself with his friends and foster parents. He also invited Aimee, his ex-girlfriend, along with Peck. Unfortunately, Peck called the cops. To avoid spending his last day arrested, he runs away. -
Silent goodbye to Lydia - 6:14 am
Mateo goes to see his closest friend Lydia, to see her for the last time. He chooses not to inform her that he is a Decker and choose to not say goodbye. He does not want Lydia's of him to be a sorrowful goodbye. -
Make a Memory - 8:32 am
Mateo and Rufus decides to go to a Make-A-Moment station. Make-A-Memory is a place where you can do dangerous activities safely with VR. They decide to go skydiving. The skydiving did not reach the expectations as they though they would. However they got to know each other better while making a memory together. -
Goodbye to Mateos mom - 11:32 am
They both go to visit Mateo's mother's grave. Mateo hasn't visited this grave in years. There is a man digging a new grave next to his mother’s grave and he says the grave is for him. This makes both Rufus and Mateo realise that it really is their last day. -
Almost death - 12:58 pm
A bomb goes off in the building next to where Mateo and Rufus are staying. Luckily, neither Rufus or Mateo gets killed in the explosion. This lead to them getting scared, and makes them realise how little time they have left on earth, and that they could die any second. -
Mateo told the truth to Lydia - 4:24 pm
After keeping it to himself for some time, Mateo eventually decides to tell Lydia about his End Day. He invitates her and Rufus to join him at the World Travel Arena. World Travel Arena is a place where you can "visit" the whole world from one place. Lyda and Mateo engage Rufus to do a rainforest jump, which is a nerve-wracking experience for Rufus. He is frightened of water after the rest of his family drowned in a river. He faced his fear, and did the jump. -
Mateo and Rufus kiss - 5:14 pm
Rufus and Mateo goes to a bar for Deckers, and they brought along their friends, Lydia and the Plotos. All the tension between them was built up throughout the day, til they kissed. They kissed after they sang a karaoke song together. -
Peck incoming - 6:24 pm
Sadly, Peck knew which bar they were at. He and his gang stormed in and pulled out a gun. This lead to Mateo and Rufus having to run away again. -
Mateo and Rufus walks - 7:17 pm
They walks trough the place where Mateo buried the bird in the morning. Rufus is kind of starting to freak out, since they both are going to die soon. They are walking towards Mateos place. -
They told each other "I love you"
In the eventing they went walked to Mateo's apartment and stayed there for a little while. They both have gotten feelings towards each other, and wants each other in their life. They told each other "I love You". However they both know they can't be with each other much longer. -
Mateo dies 8:47 pm
Sadly, Mateo dies. The stove in his apartment got caught on fire and Mateo did not manage to put out the fire. Rufus however was in the other room when this happened and survived the accident. -
Rufus dies - 10:36 pm
As a way to cope Rufus tok a walk to process the day. Later he dies. He dies in a car accident, when he walked into the road and a car hit him.
