Economy has affected the world, including developments in technology

The passage says, “Between 1994 and mid-1999, the number of worldwide Internet users soared from 3 million to 200 million.” (Black and Beck 943) Communication has greatly improved from 20 to 30 years ago. People can move far away and still be able to keep in touch with family members, also companies can communicate with each other to trade with other people.

John Oliver once stated, “Trendy clothing is cheaper than ever and cheap clothing is trendier than ever” (John Oliver) For consumers clothing is less expansive for them but to produce the products it is much cheaper. The producers make a lot of profits from the clothing even though they sell it for a “cheap” price.

Black and Beck say, "Manufacturing jobs began to move out of developed nations—those nations with the industrialization, transportation, and business facilities for advanced production of manufactured goods.” (Black and Beck 945) Jobs that are in developed countries are then going to less developed countries to give them opportunities for jobs. With the advancements of technologies, it has let other countries communicate and then less developed countries have more jobs so poorer people have a

chance to get money and the countries that they live in.

In the passage, it states “Technological progress in the sciences, medicine, and agriculture has changed the quality of the lives of millions of people.” (Black and Beck 943) Technologies and medicine have improved immensely, surgery and medicines have been developed more an that leads to people being able to live longer. Technologies have been advanced and with that medicines are able to be shipped to other countries for trading purposes.
