  • Infantry Weapons

    These weapons didn’t change much. They were given to soldiers who needed to attack the enemy or defend themselves.
  • Gas Warfare

    In 1915 in the battle of Ypres gas grenades were introduced by the Germans. But in 1917 the Canadian corps finally shot their first gas shell that was lethal.
  • Armoured Warfare

    In 1916 the first prototypes of the tank were completed. they called it the tank because the main body looked like a water carrier.
  • Light Railways

    In 1916 the Composite Pioneer Company was made by Canadians. Their duty was to undertake light railway jobs.
  • Forestry

    In February of 1916 the British invited Canada a unit for lumberman and in May 1916 Canadian tools and machinery were quickly up to par.
  • Ammunition

    In 1917 Canada provided between a quarter and 1third of ammunition that was shot by Britain soldiers on the Western Front.
  • Communication

    In 1917 Canada was introduced with wireless communication. Wires from the communication devices would get cut from artillery so wireless communication were very popular but very scarce. So people often used physical ways of communicating like flares, torches and flags.
  • Grenades

    In 1917 the Canadian infantry included a section of grenadiers in their army.
  • The Wireless Radio

    The wireless radio created by Edward Rogers Sr. was invented in 1925 and it was unveiled to the public in September of 1925. The wireless radio used no batteries(so no acid leaks) and it was a great source to catch up with the news, and also a great source of entertainment.
  • The Hudson's Bay Railway

    The Hudson's Bay railway was opened up in 1929 and it gave better access to the prairie grain in Churchill, Manitoba.
