The League of Nations was signed in January of 1920 with 42 nations being involved. Even though it was not allowed, Japan quit the organization. Then followed Germany and Italy. In 1946, the League of Nations was cancelled.

President Paul von Hindenburg named Hitler as chancellor of Germany. Before that happened the president appointed General Kurt von Schleicher as chancellor but the Republican party was very badly wanting Adolf Hitler. They were determined to get him there. Sooner or later he was made chancellor while Schleicher was vice-chancellor.

The Spanish Civil war all started when the Right-Winged military officers were sent by General Francisco Franco to overthrow the the Leftist republican goverment. In March of 1939, the Republican side of the war had surrendered to the other. The Spanish Civil War had come to an end.
