    The War of 1812 troubles originally started in 1807 with The British being more or less scared by the Americans. Although this is true, Britain started trade, which America saw almost as threat ruining America economy. Both saw each other nearly as enemies or threats towards each other.

    The start of the way started June 18th, 1812 under the presidency of James Madison. The Congress signed a declaration, which is what started the War.

    The Americans capture Fort Erie from the British after crossing the Niagara River and defeating them at the Battle of Chippawa under the leading of Major General Jacob Brown

    The Treaty of Greenville is an event that happened during the War that actually greatly helped America. The treaty made a peace treaty and friendship between 5 different Native American tribes.

    During the War , the White House, which was under the presidency of James Madison, was set on fire from the British, as they set the town pretty much on fire targeting the capital and the White House.

    In one of the several battles during the War, the National Anthem was created. During the Battle of Plattsburgh, The Americans defeated The British. The next morning a poem was made, which was later then made our National Anthem.

    The War came to an end in Feburary of 1815 by a Treaty called Treaty of Ghent, which was actually made in 1814, but not officially signed until 1815.
