In Madison's time of office he replaced federalist with republican policies. Also made the United States larger. He weakned the Native Americans, and strengthend unity along the nation. He also showed the European nations Americas power. -
War Hawks Take Power
The War Hawks were created by Calhoun Clay and his supporters. Because of the War Hawks realation with Britain worsend. The War Hawks wanted war with Britain. In witch war opposition was strongest to England. The people thought that fighting with America would harm trade. -

Congress declared war on Britain in June. Jefferson spent to much mopney and effected the military by by weaking them. .
