  • THE DECLARATION OF WAR

    President James Madison declares war against the British because they have been taking sailors to fight against the french from American territory.

  • FORT MICHILINACKINAC

    A small number of British soldiers take over fort Michilinackinac. After that the British got control over Lake Huron and Lake Michigan, after hearing with the combined news the British have reinforcements, General Hull retreats to Detroit

  • The Detroit Bluff

    With the combined forces of the Indians the British take over Detroit, mainly because of Hulls fear of the Indians.

  • Queenston hieghts

    The Americans take over Queenston Hieghts with well coordinated attacks. The British suffer a heavy blow because General Brok dies at this battle

  • York is captured

    The Americans succesfully capture the capital of Upper Canada, York ( toronto)

  • The Battle of Thames River

    The Americans win the battle of Thames River.The great Indian war chief Tecumseh unfortunately gets killed during the battle.

  • The miracle at cryslers farm

    At the battle of cryslers farm, the combined forces of 800 British soldiers, Candien militiamen and First Nation allies deafeated an entire army of 7000 American soldiers.

  • Washington gets burnt

    The British winning yet another battle agianst the Americans led his army into Washingtonand burned many public buildings including the White House and the U.S Capitol were mainly destroyed. After a while though they finally return to Bermuda.

  • The peace treaty ?

    The treaty of Ghent was signed, it was supposed to be the treaty that ended the war but it took weeks to finaly reach the United States which is why the war had still continued.

    The American forces led by General Andrew Jackson defaeted the British army invading New orleans. Though the Americans won this final major battle people wonder who really won the War of 1812.
