    Mukden Incident On September 18th,

    Lt. Suemori Kawamoto detonated a small quantity of dynamite close to a railway line owned by Japan's South Manchuria Railway near Mukden. The explosion was so weak that it failed to do any damage and failed to destroy the track and the train soon passed over it. The Japanese soon invaded Manchuria accusing the Chinese immediatly.
