    The Nordic pirates caught the attention of the Vikings, to the point of looting large cities, for example, Ragnar Lodbrok and other cities such as Córdoba, Sevilla, Lisboa, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Hamburg or London.

    They were defeated at the battle of Stamford Bridge, although the Saxon joy lasted two weeks: the Norman William the Conqueror, an ally of the Norwegians and a descendant of Rollo, defeated Harold II at Hastings and was crowned King of England
