The Ohio National Gaurd was called in to keep the peace.When the guard felt threatened they fired shots into the crowd and injured/killed 13 young men and women.

    The Communist forces moved into Saigon. The North Vietnamese communist troops were declared victorious over the non communist South Vietnamese troops. South Vietnam surrendered to North Vietnam and became communist.
