Presidant Johnson starts Operation Rolling Thunder, a bombing operation of North Vietnam to stop the support of their troops. -

Operation Crimp of 8,000 American troops to take over Vietcong's headquarters. 385,000 troops have been deployed at this point. -
1967
American forces attack North Vietnam's airbases, successfully hitting most. -
1968
Operation Rolling Thunder comes to an end. Neither a win or loss. -

Nixon becomes President promising "peace with honor". -
1970
South Vietnamese troops and American troops push into North Vietnam territory and expose their supply areas. -
1971
11 million gallons of Agent Orange has been sprayed on North Vietnam. -

American troops start heading home. 133000 remain. -

Peace talk is the rumor and a cease fire is signed. -

Nixon resigns leaving the troops and effort in Vietnam hanging. -

North Vietnam takes over Saigon, ending the war. -
