Charlotte Doyle boards the Seahawk
Charlotte Doyle, very nervous due to her friends not coming with her, boards the ship, Seahawk, after a worker at Liverpool dock told her to beware -
Zachariah gives Doyle a Dirk
Zachariah gives Charlotte a dirk (a type of blade) and tells her she might need it. Zachariah also says that the captain had someones arm have to be amputated. -
Charlotte got seasick
Charlotte was seasick and sleeping for four full days. Zacharia took care of her. -
Charlotte sees the Round Robin onboard
Charlotte finds a pistol and a round robin (a symbol shown to her by the captain) in the crews' room and informs the captain who shoots and kills Cranick -
The murders
After being informed by Charlotte that the crew is planning a rebellion, Captain Jaggery kills Cranick and has Zachariah whipped. Charlotte interferes and steals the whip but accidently makes a huge cut across the captain's face. -
Zachariahs death
Zachariah, after being whipped viciously by Captain Jaggery, passes away. The crew has a short funeral for him and then throw him into the ocean -
Charlotte wants to join the crew
Charlotte, who thinks it is her fault that Zachariah died, asks the crew if she can join an become a sailor. The crew said she could join if she climbs the royal yard and comes back down safe. Charlotte accepted the challenge. With a lot of effort and a quick fall, Charllotte eventually made it all the way up and all the way down. -
The captain finds out
Captain Jaggery confronts Charlotte after she has successfully made it down from the royal yard and says she must stay a member of a crew no matter what if she chooses to. The captain has her belongings removed and Charlotte becomes an official member of the crew. -
Charlotte joins the crew
Charlotte began working like a sailor and enjoyed it even though captain was very hard on the crew. Charlotte was now called Charlotte instead of Ms. Doyle. -
The red bird
Charlotte spots a red bird on the ship and finds out that the bird came from a hurricane. The crew figures out that there is a hurricane coming up. -
Hurricane horror
The hurricane strikes unexpectedly and Charlotte is having lots of trouble working hard in the fierce wind and rain. When she is about to fall to her death someones hand pulls Charlotte up. Charlotte notices it to be Zachariah but the figure vanishes. The ship is heavely damaged and the storm suddenly stops. Mr, Hollybrass dies in the storm. -
Charlotte is blamed
After Mr. Hollybrass had died, the captain blamed Charlotte for murdering him because her dirk was found in his back. Charlotte is put in the hold which is dark and is contained in a cage. Zachariah comes and meets her and reveals that he's not dead and he has been living in the hold.
