Bloody Sunday
The morning of 30 January 1972, a Sunday, almost ten thousand people gathered in Londonderry in a march. The soldiers of the 1st Parachute Regiment used a water cannon, CS gas and rubber bullets against 26 men. 13 were killed and 13 were injuried; then, one of the man who were injured died. -
The Guilford Four
The Guilford Four and the Maguire Seven were two groups of innocent people who were accused of putting bombs and explosives and they had to spend 15-16 years in prison. Any policeman has responded yet to the torture, corruption and crimes commited against these two groups. -
Birmingham pub bombings
The night of 21st November 1974, two pubs in Birmingham explode because of the IRA bombs. 21 people were killed and 182 people were injuried. It it considerated the worst terrorist attack ever. -
Manchester Bombing
This time, fortunately, nobody died, but 200 people were injured and the buildings were seriously damaged. The bomb was put there for the IRA and it destroyed a large parte of the city. -
The Belfast Agreement
Also known as the Good Friday, because it was reached a Friday. It was an agreement between the Irish and the British goverments about how Northern Ireland. The agreement dealt with the issues of the nearly 30previous years. -
Omagh Bombing
The IRA explode a bomb, killing 29 people. The bomb devastated the center of the toen of Omagh. It happened three months after the reachment of the agreement. -
The end
The Irish National Liberation Army declared a ceasefire. 1998 is considered by many as the end of the Troubles.
