McCandless meets Wayne Westerberg
After meeting, the two become good friends, and Westerberg offers McCandless a job and a place to stay. Even while Wayne was imprisoned, McCandless still sent him letters and they later reunited before McCandless' death -
McCandless in Bullhead City
In early October, Chris McCandless arrived in Bullhead City, and later gets a job at a McDonald's, but doesn't stay for very long. His coworkers that he was a bit weird and stated he only worked at one speed -
McCandless meets Stuckey
While McCandless was hitch hiking, he met Stuckey. Stuckey was not so keen on giving Chris a ride but he decided to let travel with him up to Fairbanks. At a stop, Stuckey would by McCandless a bag of rice, and some gear, and then dropped off at Fairbanks University -
McCandless dies
sometime in August, Chris McCandless would die of starvation. He was later found lying in a bus that had a note saying that he was to weak, and that he needed help. McCandless ate the seeds of a potato which was the catalyst for his starvation.
