A nobleman and his 2 friends mocked D'Artagnan's horse. D'Artagnan was going to fight the nobleman, but the nobleman's friends attacked D'Artagnan first. He lost his introduction letter in the fight.

D'Artagnan rode through Meung, a small town in the spring of 1625. He took along a sword, a purse with 15 gold crowns, and an introduction letter to Monseiur De Treveille.

D'Artagnan got to the king of the musketeers and told him he lost his letter of introduction, but he could still become a cadet.

D'Artagnan is going to fight with Athos, Porthos, and Aramis, but they protected each other from the Cardinal's guards who came to fight them instead. They are always happy to be with one another which makes them good friends.

Monsieur Bonacieux visits D'Artagnan and tells him his wife was captured and a note was left saying whoever looked for her would be arrested by the Cardinal's guards.

Madame Bonacieux (Constance) was in the first floor in D'Artagnan's hotel, tied up being questioned. D'Artagnan went down and saved her. D'Artagnan stayed behind while Constance showed the Duke of Buckingham where Queen Anne was, and she gave him her necklace with 12 studded diamonds.

Monsieur Bonacieux was being questioned in an underground cell. He did get freed, because he was questioned unfairly though. Richelieu apoligized and gave him some money, but didn't mean it.

Richelieu plans on stealing 2 diamond studs from the Duke of Buckingham's studded necklace using Milady. After the Cardinal got the two diamond studs, he tells the king to throw a party so the Queen can show off her diamond studs. The Cardinal knows that she doesn't have the studs so she will be very embarassed.

Athos, Porthos, Aramis, and D'Artagnan travel to get the necklace back to Queen Anne, but only D'Artagnan made it. The Duke of Buckingham and D'Artagnan try to get two duplicate diamond studs made, and they do. The Duke and D'Artagnan need to get the diamond necklace to the Queen before the upcoming ball.

D'Artagnan got the 12 diamond studs to teh Queen just in time. The Cardinal was annoyed because he failed to do his job to embarrass the Queen. He was fooled and stopped by D'Artagnan.

Milady de Winter and the Cardinal both plotted revenge on D'Artagnan. Milady pretended to get attacked by another spy from the Cardinal and D'Artagnan "saved" her. He didn't know he was falling in a trap. She gave him her name and address, and he always visited her but she never liked him, she just wanted revenge.

One day D'Artagnan went to Milady's house, but she wasn't there. Milady's maid told him Milady never cared for D'Artagnan and he was shocked. Milady came back and not knowing D'Artagnan was there told her maid she planned on getting revenge on Madame Bonacieux. D'Artagnan lunged out of his hiding place, drew his sword, and fought her. He got her brooch she threw at him and after he told Athos all that, Athos told him that Milady was his horrible wife!

Athos, Porthos, and Aramis were out wandering around, and saw the Cardinal, He asked them to follow him to his hotel. From the downstairs room, they heard the Cardinal talking to Milady about plotting revenge. Athos stayed behind when the Cardinal, Aramis and Porthos left. Athos went upstairs and took the murder warrent from Milady.

After Milady escaped, she went to the church to Madame Bonacieux and Poisened her drink and killed her. Just then, D'Artagnan got there, but it was too late. Planchet's warning didn't help. For revenge, D'Artagnan killed Rochfort in a great battle.

Milady gets put in jail for attempting murder, but sneaks out by getting the jailer's sympathy. The jailer then murdered the Duke of Buckingham for Milady.

Milady got captured by Athos and she was executed on a mountain. D'Artagnan felt sorry at the time, but they were all glad she wasn't there anymore to commit any more crimes.

D'Artagnan, Athos, Porthos, and Aramis stayed best friends for life, "All for One, and One for All!"

D'Artagnan was taken to Richelieu to be arrested. Then D'Artagnan showed him the letter to Milady, a warrent to kill, so the Cardinal instead gave D'Artagnan a commission to be a lieutenant with the Kings Musketeers.
