    This battle was the first battle of the Texas revolution because the texans wanted to be free. The texans took the first shot to start the battle off. It lasted a day--October 1, 1835 to October 2,1835.The battle took place in Gonzales.

This was an important battle because it ended the Texas revolution and Santa Anna was captured. The texans fought becasue they wanted freedom from mexico.
