The telegraph
The telegraph was invented in 1793. Nowadays, over million people send messages by mobile phone using communication satellites. The inventor of the telegraph inspired inventors to try and send not just but the umans voice along the wire. -
The Telephone
Johann Ris (Germany), Antonio Meucci (Italy), Elisha Gray (Usa) and Alexander Graham Bell (scotland) were all trying out the first telephones in the 1860s and 1870s, but bell's was granted the first patent in 1876. Thomas Edison made a telephone with a separate mouthpiece and earpiece. -
The Bell phone
Bell's first telephone had one combined mouthpiece and earpiece. When you spoke into the horn, the voice was converted into electric signals which were carried along thelephone wires. Was invented in 1876. -
The mobile phone
The mobile phone was invented in 1979 at the Bell Thelephone Laboratories in the USA. The first mobiles could centrainly not fit in your pocket! The new gwnwrations of mobile phones or 'cell' phones are small and can carry voice massages, text messages, photos, videos, games and connect with the internet.
