It was created on April 3, 1973, by Martin Cooper. These phones are portable and can make and receive calls while the person is moving in a 'telephone service area'. -
The first smartphone
It was also named Simon. It had a touchscreen, a handful of built-in apps (including a calculator and a sketch pad), and email capability. -
