  • Foundation of Syria

    When the second world war ended URSS was separated and much of their land was transformed into so many countries one of them is Syria. On 17 of april of 1946 Syria was founded.
  • Started of the cold war

    The rivalry of ideologies and policies that the governments of the United States and the Soviet Union advocated and wished to impose. The United States stood for democracy and capitalism, as well as the principles of private property and free initiative. Which was done in the Arab world, including Syria.
  • Dictator

    Hàfez al-Assad was a Syrian military officer and dictator of the Syrian Arab Republic from February 22, 1971 until his death on June 10, 2000. He was dictator of the country and that did not benefit anyone but brought problems for everyone.
  • The Syrian governor

    With the death of his father in 2000, Bashar al-Assad became the new leader of Syria until now. He is the cause of the Syrian war among other factors.
  • The Arab Spring

    On 17 December 2010, Mohamed Bouazizi, a street vendor, blew himself up in the Tunisian town of Sidi Bouzid, and thousands of Tunisians took to the streets to protest against the poor living conditions in the country.
  • The Started of the Syrian war

    What began on 15 March 2011 as a pro-democracy demonstration in the southern city of Deraa, inspired by the uprisings in neighbouring countries as part of the Arab Spring, turned into a nightmare, in the words of Guterres.
  • End of the Arab Spring

    On October 20, 2011, Gaddafi was found fleeing and executed, bringing the first phase of the war to an end. In Yemen, the poorest country in the Arab world, protests against Ali Abdullah Saleh lasted more than a year, until he was ousted from power in February 2012. Whith this the Arab spring end in 2011.
  • Refugge with the Syrian war

    With the war that has occurred and continues to occur in Syria, many people are forced to leave the country to save their lives. Many go to refugee camps next door, many others die in the country or are internally displaced.
