    The gruesome child is born

    Torquemada gains power

    Torquemada becomes the head of the monastery of Santa Cruz in Segovia after working as a Dominican Friar
  • 1467

    The Princess gets educated

    The Queen required Princess Isabella to get a Catholic education. Torquemada became her teacher and later started hearing her confessions.

    Wedding bells chime

    After Isabella's half brother tried to arrange a marriage for her the year prior, Isabella made her own choice on who to marry and she marries Ferdinand of Aragon

    Christians begin to attack conversos in Cordoba (conversos are Christians who converted from Judaism)

    Isabella becomes Queen

    Henry IV died and Isabella declared herself queen

    The War

    After Henry IVs death some powerful nobles refused to support Isabella's reign
  • 1477

    A court moved

    Isabella moved her court to Seville, which had one of the highest Jewish and Conversos population.

    The Pope orders it!

    Pope Sixtus IV granted permission for Spain to begin an inquisition. inquisitors had no power over jewish people but were tasked to find heritics

    Ferdinand becomes the king of Aragon

    The Inquisition Starts

    Torquemada gets name to her royal council. 10 days after Torquemada sets the first 2 targets to be Domincan Friars

    the inquisition is resisted

    Leaders in Aragon try to resist the Inquisition by murdering Pedro de Arbues which causes support for the Inquisition

    Granada Surrenders

    Muslim leaders in Granada surrendered to spain. Spain orders all jewish people to convert or leave spain
