    The Seven Year War lasted from 1754 to 1763, and began in North America. The conflict didn't reach Europe until 1756. The war was primarily Britain and France fighting over North American territory, with Great Britain reigning victorious.

    In 1754 Benjamin Franklin proposed the Albany Plan of Union during a meeting with the British and Iroquois.
