Nicholas II Takes Power
Nicholas's father died, and he took the throne becoming the next Czar and ruled Russia, at the age of 26. Thought he was well educated, he did not have the confidence and authority to make a good leader. -

A war that formed between Russia and Japanese while they were both trying to get control and have power/ dominance over Korea and Manchuria; it was considered the first big war of the 20ith century. -

A day when a group of unarmed demonstrators marched to the Winter Palace with a petition and were fired on by Czar Nicholas royal guards. -
World War 1 Russia
Russia joined World War 1, to help Britain and France defeat Germany. To help stop Hitler's chaos and slaughter of the jews, and deaths of innocent people, as well as to help the trapped people in the conintration camps. -
March Revolution
People lost faith in Czar Nicholas, they were poor, starving and helpless, and the governemnt wouldn't help them so they rioted. This was the beginning of a new government and style for Russia. -
Czar Nicholas II abdicates throne
Nicholas II gave up his throne because his people were striking against him. Many revolts were breaking out, due to his poor leadership. -
Russian Civil War Begins
The anti-communists, White Army fought the communists, or Red Army lead by Lenin, in fight over the government and order, now that Czar Nicholas was gone. -
Creation of USSR
The USSR was established after the Bolsheviks overthrew the Russian government and took control. It reorganized Russia by splitting it, then into four unions, or the republics. -
Lenin Dies
Vladimir Lenin dies of a stroke, due to his poor health. Russia loses its great leader and then Joseph Stalin his greedy power hungry apprentice takes over.
