PA - 2nd to ratify
PA followed 5 days later with a vote of 46-23 in favor of the Constitution. -
NJ - 3rd to ratify
New Jersey was all in and voted unanimously for the new Constitution. -
GA - 4th to ratify
GA all in for the Constitution. -
CT - 5th to ratify
CT voted 128-40 in favor of the Constitution. -
6th to ratify MA
MA state divded geographically over the Constitution.
Eastern part of MA - merchants, lawyers, and investors
voted 111-31 in favor
Western part of MA - small farmers and Shays's Rebellion supporters voted 76-137 against the Constitution
Total votes were 187 in favor and 168 against -
Lucky # 7 ratifies MD
MD state convention voted 63-11 in favor of the Constitution. -

Voted 149-73 in favor of the Constitution -
9th to ratify NH
It was pretty close in NH the vote was 57-47 in favor of the Constitution. -
10th to ratify VA
Another close call for the Constitution with 89-79 in favor. -
11th to ratify NY
Called for a second Constitutional Convent put did not get it so the vote for the Constitution was delayed. The Federalists won out with a voted of 30-27 in favor for the Constitution. -
12th to ratify NC

Last be not least the 13th to ratify RI
RI was three years to the party and with a very close vote of 34-32 they ratified the Constitution.
