    The Seven Years War

The Seven Years war took place between the French and Indian, better known as the French and Indian War. Once the French expanded in the Ohio River Valley the British were very upset. Throughout the British lost many battles to the French and Indian troops. Eventually, the Treaty of Paris was created due to the fact that the British started winning some more wars. As a result of this the British only started taking more land and making more taxes on people. This made the colonists mad.
  • Royal Proclamation

    Royal Proclamation
The Royal Proclamation was when the land was taken from the French in North America and soon turned into Britains. This was also a big deal to Canada as well because they started their alliance with the British as well. Many were left very unhappy after the Proclamation because many French and Native homes were left destroyed by Chief Pontiac who lead the rebellion throughout.
  • The Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act
The Stamp Act was when there was a taxation on many different items, like newspapers, wills, diplomas, pamphlets, and playing cards. This was due to the fact the British wanted to earn and make a revenue from the different colonies. I feel this is one of the bigger events leading to the American Revolution because it resulted in a war because it left a large portion of the colonists very angry and fed up.
  • The Quartering Acts

    The Quartering Acts
The Quartering Act was a very interesting act. This act basically made American citizens house and take care of British soldiers. The people housing the citizens were not very happy with this because they had to first house these soldiers and take care of them, and they also were still being taxed. Later on, tension was built due to the fact that American citizens had to pay for troops as well, but many treated their troops badly.
  • Townshend Acts

    Townshend Acts
This series of acts were basically an addition to the Stamp Acts. The Townshend Acts were named after a man named Charles Townshend. But the Townshend acts had a taxation on lead, paint, tea, and glass. At one point it was federal law where British officials had the ability to check any household they wanted at any given time. With these taxation laws, the American people were enraged because they felt as if they were getting taxed for no reason at all.
  • The Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre took place between the American colonists and the British troops. They were having a bloody violent massacre on one another when the British soldiers began to shoot at many citizens, which of course resulted in a large number of deaths. But the colonists were using clubs, rocks, snowballs, and other violent weapons. As a request to the Boston Massacre, eight of the soldiers and one of the officers were charged with manslaughter and were also arrested.
  • The Tea Act

    The Tea Act
The Tea Act was a last chance effort to save the enterprise. This act was made to where the tea can be shipped to the colonies without having to pass through England. Due to this, the Tea Act was increased, in order to have business in Eastern India. Soon after the Boston Tea Party took place because they protested due to the fact that disliked the act. In the grand scheme of things, this made the British mad because it decreases the amount of goods they can trade.
