Bertha Benz drove out into the streets on he husbands new invention the petroll fulled automobile. Her husband nor anyone else was aware she was doing this. -

Rudolf Diesel (1858-1913) created the first diesel engine and named it after himself. -
Ford model T
Henry Ford desiggned the Model T car. The car had 20 horsepower, 4 cylinder engine, and went 45 miles per hour. I got 13-21 miles per gallon. Henry sold around 15 million eventually and at a cost of $850 each. Henry decided to make this car because he hated horses, he called it the horseless carraige. -
Assamble line
Henry for created the first assemble line that made whole automotives. His innovation reduced the time it took to build a car from more than 12 hours to two hours and 30 minutes. -
Cars are wanted sleak/radios are installed
Around this time people started to want cars that were nicer and fanceyer. The first radios were being installed into some automotives. One of the first raidos was the Motorla 5T71 mass produced by Galvin Co. People went crazy over them! Some states even banned them from use. -
VW Beetle
Ferinand Porsche invented the VW Beetle to epeal to a large veriety of people. The car was very simple,yet is remembered as one of the worlds most popular and memorable. -
SEATBELTS
Congress posted legislation requiring all cars to have seatbelts. They possed an option of use in the beginning. -
